The UEFA Champions League has reached the final stages and the World's best clubs are ready for the big fights in the UEFA Champions League Semi Finals.
The highly anticipated soccer games like Real Madrid vs Barcelona and Manchester united vs Schalke are ready to entertain the soccer freaks from all over the world.
Barcelona and Manchester United had advanced on Tuesday evening following Real Madrid and FC Schalke 04 booked their places in the semi-finals on Wednesday night in the Champions League.
The draw means Barcelona and Real Madrid will face each other four times in the space of less than three weeks, as they also face each other in the Spanish Copa del Rey and La Liga.
Schalke advanced on 7-3 aggregate and will play Manchester United in the other semifinal on April 26th and May 4th 2011. The first time the German club has advanced that far in Europe's top club tournament.
Real Madrid will be facing Barcelona in the semifinals in this series, setting up an unexpected schedule that will see the Spanish rivals meet four times in eighteen days. They play Saturday in the league, then meet next Wednesday in the Spanish Copa del Rey final before the Champions League games on April 27th and May 3rd 2011.
Schalke defender Christoph Metzelder stated that, they showed in both games, how much potential they have in our squad, they wanted to win, they were not happy with 1-1 score.
Schalke coach Ralf Rangnick told that, they defended very well in last game, they allowed may be two chances and they might have won again, if they count all the chances.
While Manchester United is heavily favored beside the German club, the matchup of the two Spanish powers is so far more exciting.
Real Madrid coach Jose Mourinho stated that, let us see what happens, a semi is a semi and anything can happen in the game.
