Manchester United vs Chelsea Champions League Scores and Highlights

Manchester United vs Chelsea Results: Manchester United dragged a fantastic victory over Chelsea 2-1 at Old Trafford in the UEFA Champions League 2010/2011 on Tuesday night. In Manchester United vs Chelsea, both sides made positive starts to the game, as Blues aiming to score an early goal were undone.

Manchester United has booked their place in the semi-finals of the Champions League glory as strikes from Javier Hernandez (43 minute) and Park Ji-Sung (77 minute) sealed a 3-1 aggregate victory.

Goals from Javier and Park were enough to secure a victory for Manchester United over Carlo Ancelotti's team, who are almost confident to end the season without silverware.

In an opening 45 minutes, both the sides are high in intensity and action. Javier Hernandez saw a goal not allowed for off-side on the 27th minute mark before giving the hosts the lead. They have latched on to a sublime Ryan Giggs ball on the stroke of half time.

Carlo Ancelotti's side got numerous chances through Frank Lampard and the striking Ramires. Even though, Nicolas Anelka and mainly Fernando Torres had not made as many chances as they would have liked.

At the other end, Wayne Rooney and Javier Hernandez were looking lively for Man United and although Chelsea's overall had bossed the half. It was the home side, who took the lead just before half-time when John O'Shea played a lovely reverse pass down the right which released Ryan Giggs, who crossed by Javier Hernandez to knock in at the far post.

Fernando Torres was substituted at half-time and was substituted by Didier Drogba, who immediately caused problems for the United back four.

Didier Drogba got the Blues back into the game after 76 minutes, when Michael Essien's ball over the top of the united defence was chased down by the striker who slotted the ball beyond Edwin van der Sar to make it 1-1 score on the night.

Chelsea was trying to get back into the game, but United's second killed the game. Park Ji-Sung unmarked in the box, firing the ball low and hard into the far corner made another goal at 77 minute and ensured the Premier League leaders deservedly advanced to the semi-finals.

Manchester United fantastic victory on the final whistle to put Chelsea's European goal on ice for at least another year.
