Sir Alex Ferguson to quit?

Considered as one of the greatest managers ever in the game, Sir Alex Ferguson is the second longest serving manager in the proud history of Manchester United. The seasoned Glaswegian has been the manager of Manchester United for over 23 years, making them the most successful side in the history of British soccer. However, Sir Alex Fergusons future retirement has hit the national newspaper headlines once again, leaving numerous Manchester United supporters to inquire about the future of the club when he eventually decides to call it a day. According to his son Darren, Sir Alex will leave Manchester United at the end of the season. Ferguson has twice threatened to retire in recent campaigns although he has refused to rule out coaching into his seventies. He had ab initio planned to withdraw in 2005, only to decide he had a lot more to fulfill in the top flight.

Jose Mourinho has held that he would be available for the job and Rio Ferdinand has given him his publ ic support. Jos Mourinho has previously stated that he wants to return to English football after being sacked by Chelsea in 2007 after only three years in charge. Not only does Jos Mourinho want to write the future chapter of his coaching life history in England, he also intends to make it an long-term stay. During his first two seasons in charge at Stamford Bridge, Mourinho certainly exposed the ability to build a winning team that played grand football, and although his team became torturously dull in the end, the often direct Mourinho is quite capable of winning in great style. Besides, his baroque approach is precisely what is required to instill confidence in the players.
